| The Dale family`s journey to Asia began in the late 1800`s when Robin`s great grandfather left Scotland for Singapore. The tradition continued with Robin`s grandfather and father who both gave all of their adult lives to caring for the poor through medical work in both China and Taiwan. |

| Robin`s parents Dr. Donald Dale and Mrs. Penelope Dale began their medical mission of love to Asia in 1949 at a hospital in Sichuan China, during the Chinese civil war, for a monthly salary of "Ten Sacks Of Rice" |

| Robin`s Grandparents went to China in the early 1920`s to serve the medical needs of the poor. Robin`s father spoke Hakka as a child. |
